Opening access to opportunity

Access & Outreach

Talent and ambition are widely shared. Access to guidance, funding and supportive networks is not. Hendexa’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion shapes how we work with individuals, communities and educational organisations to make further study more accessible.

Our work pays particular attention to economically disadvantaged learners, first-generation applicants, women facing barriers and other underrepresented communities. Our founder’s experience navigating educational barriers and contributing to university outreach at Oxford informs this approach.

Completed activities

Free community guidance with Radio Rana and IWAW

We joined Radio Rana with Iraqi Women Art and War (IWAW) to offer free guidance to people considering further study. Participants could ask questions about scholarships, university applications and educational opportunities, and discuss uncertainties about getting started.

The session brought guidance into a community setting, reflecting our commitment to making educational opportunities easier to understand and explore.

Current offers

Five free consultations

The five-consultation initiative includes a one-week extension designed to reach more people facing barriers to academic guidance. Eligibility, the current application status and full terms are kept together on our News & Events page.

Future collaborations

We are exploring workshops with libraries, community centres and educational organisations. Proposed topics include university pathways, scholarship preparation, academic writing, research skills and responsible AI literacy.

Activities may be commissioned or sponsored to keep participation free. Any voluntary introductory pilot would have a clearly agreed scope; further delivery and funding arrangements would be agreed separately.

These are proposals for future activity, not confirmed partnerships. We welcome conversations with organisations across the UK and internationally.
